Your phone is your most important tool when you’re preparing for an interview. You can write down all your notes for a quick refresh before you go in, and a map app will ensure you don’t get lost. Look for a good recording facility so you can capture any presentations and talks. Finally, if you need to find out information quickly, you’ve got the internet at your fingertips! We took to the streets to find out…

Sian Gibson, 24, Marketing Executive from Bicester. ‘Sign up to agencies, check websites and look out for big companies that advertise. Do a job you want to do.

Laura Whalebone, 29, Fashion and Beauty Blogger from London. ‘Don’t forget you have to work your way up, so grab opportunities and put in the graft. You must always go for Gold!’

Ellie Davidson, 23, Shop Assistant from Kent. ‘Always smile be polite and understand the roles you’re going for. Something will come along.’

Ashley Robertson, 21, Senior Beauty Therapist from South Shields. ‘Be honest and don’t give up. Being happy is so important, so follow your dream.’
